New Characters Added To Super Smash Bros Wii U And 3DS.

In a stream on their website, Nintendo announced that a few more characters will be added to the Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS roster. From Fire Emblem: Awakening, Lucina and Robin are now playable. Captain Falcon is also listed as an official fighter on the game’s website.

Lucina and Robin (who can also be played as a female.) were introduced in Awakening, which launched in January 2013 on the 3DS. Robin is the default name that is given to the avatar and serves as a guide through the main story. The video also showed chrom, another awakening character. Nintendo has confirmed that he is not playable.

Combining the veterans and newcomers, this brings the total amount of playable characters to 36.

Super Smash Bros will launch October 3, 2014 on the 3DS and this holiday season on the Wii U. Check out the trailer that was released today.
